FWGC-RF GAC cartridges allow water to flow from the outside into the core and are designed with a porous, polypropylene outer shell and an inner spiral wound core. The core is filled with a high-capacity granulated activated carbon (GAC) which has been pH stabilized with an acid wash rinse.FWGC-RF Series GAC Filter cartridges are constructed with a 70-micron porous polyethylene outer shell and durable polypropylene end caps.

The unique radial flow design offers the benefits of granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration, such as low pressure drop, while at the same time significantly reducing the release of carbon fines commonly associated with GAC-style cartridges.
