How an AIO Works

An air injection iron filter uses a natural oxidation process to remove iron and manganese from your water—without chemicals. The system draws air into the top of the tank, creating an oxygen-rich environment. As water passes through, dissolved iron and manganese oxidize into solid particles, which are then trapped in the filter media. During the automatic backwash cycle, the HC control valve flushes these particles out, restoring the system for clean, clear water every time. This simple, eco-friendly method ensures great-tasting water and protects your plumbing without chemical additives.
