City water can be just as problematic as well water, just in different ways. The FSCF1 is the perfect choice for homes on municipal water that need conditioning. The stack tank is designed for the softener resin to be contained in thebottom tank, whereas the top tank has the specialized filter media. This allows the water to flow through the filtermedia first, which pre-treats it before it is softened.
